Les Bains Paris is a 5-star hotel located in Paris, France

Les Bains is a Paris legend that still knows how to have fun. The building carries its nightlife history with confidence, but the experience is more rounded than a club nostalgia trip: you can eat well, sleep well, and disappear into the spa when you need to reboot. Interiors are bold and sensuous — Tristan Auer's design references Gainsbourg-era carpets and Warhol-replica sofas without feeling like a museum. The mood shifts through the day, from quiet morning calm to evening glamour, then into late-night pulse if you choose it. The kind of hotel that becomes part of the trip, not a backdrop, and one that gives you real options without ever leaving the building.

Les Bains Paris

OUR SAY

One building, three lifetimes of history, and a design by Tristan Auer that makes every era feel intentional rather than nostalgic. You can do spa calm in the morning, Roxo cocktails at dusk, and a late night in the same club where Depeche Mode once played — all without changing address.

We chose this hotel because few places carry this many past lives under one roof and still feel alive. It started as Paris's first luxury bathhouse in 1885 — where Zola, Monet and Proust were regulars — then became Les Bains Douches, the nightclub where Prince played and Kate Moss danced on Philippe Starck's black-and-white checkered floor. Now it's a hotel, spa, restaurant, and active club, and that layered history is genuinely visible in every room.

Dreamer's
Verdict

The building opened as Paris's first luxury bathhouse in 1885 — Zola, Monet and Proust were regulars. It became Les Bains Douches in 1978: one of the world's most celebrated nightclubs, where Depeche Mode played, Andy Warhol sat ringside, and Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell shared Philippe Starck's black-and-white checkered dancefloor. The hotel reopened in 2015. The dancefloor is still there.

Insider Tips

Book a massage in the Les Bains Guerbois spa — a hidden apartment inside the hotel where treatments use the house's own scent oils — then take your post-treatment glow straight through to Roxo for a Café-Calva, the cocktail that revives the bathhouse's own 19th century ritual. If you're staying in the Les Bains Suite, you have a private hammam in the room itself — use it before you go out, not after.

Hotel Location

In the 3rd arrondissement near Étienne Marcel, you're in one of Paris's most walkable and lively pockets — the Pompidou is 400 metres away, the Marais proper is a short walk east, and Montorgueil's cafes and market street are right on your doorstep.

How Close Are Restarants?

Excellent. You're surrounded by the cafes of Rue Montorgueil and a short walk from the galleries and restaurants of the Marais. When you want to stay in, Roxo — the hotel's own bar and restaurant under a monumental burgundy-lacquered ceiling — does cocktails and sharing plates until well past midnight on weekends.

What Is Nearby to Les Bains Paris?

Getting there: Étienne Marcel is 230 metres away and the most useful station — Réaumur–Sébastopol is also close. If you're arriving by RER, Châtelet–Les Halles is a short walk and connects most of the city. Getting around: This is central, walk-heavy Paris. Multiple Metro lines within minutes means you can be at the Louvre, the Marais, or Montmartre without much planning. Nearby: The Pompidou is literally 400 metres away, the Marais is a short walk east, and Rue Montorgueil — Paris's best food market street — is on your doorstep.
