  • Tell Me More About This Hotel

La Conversation is a 3-star hotel located in Paris, France

La Conversation is a boutique in the residential 15th that makes the 'work trip to Paris' feel less like a compromise. The ground floor does the heavy lifting: a softly lit wine bar, a light-filled veranda, and free tea and coffee available all day, which means you spend less time hunting for somewhere to sit and more time actually getting things done. Rooms are small (honestly, some are very small!) but the materials make up for the footprint: velvet, burr elm, warm earth tones, and soundproofed windows that keep the street outside where it belongs. This is not a grand Paris fantasy. It is a well-made base opposite a park, close enough to Montparnasse to feel connected, calm enough in the evenings to feel like you actually live here.

OUR SAY

Warm materials, a ground-floor wine bar, and a desk setup that doesn't make you feel like an afterthought — this is a Boutique and Soulful stay that also happens to suit the open-laptop crowd. Residential energy, not hostel energy.

We chose this hotel because it gets the blended trip right without making a fuss about it. The ground floor - wine bar, veranda, free coffee on tap - is genuinely social, and the rooms, though compact, are finished with real material care: velvet, burr elm, warm earth tones throughout. It is a rare Paris find where showing up with a laptop and a loose itinerary feels as considered as turning up purely for pleasure.

Dreamer's
Verdict

The dark green paintwork in the corridors divides opinion. Some guests find it dramatic, others find it moody, but it is one of the few boutique hotels in the 15th where the design decision actually starts a conversation.

Insider Tips

Book the top-floor Cosy room — it sits on the 7th floor and is the only room in the hotel with no television, which is a deliberate choice. The idea is a quieter night's sleep, and it works. Pair it with a glass from the ground-floor wine bar before you go up, and the evening becomes its own small ritual.

Hotel Location

On Rue Brancion in the residential 15th, directly opposite Parc Georges-Brassens, the neighbourhood has the kind of calm that central Paris cannot offer. Evenings here are quiet. Montparnasse is six Metro stops away on line 12, and Paris Expo is walkable, which makes it particularly useful around trade show season.

How Close Are Restarants?

The street itself gives you more than you'd expect — a fromager, a butcher, a wine shop, a small produce market. For a bigger dining night out, the Metro gets you to Montparnasse and beyond in a few stops.

What Is Nearby to La Conversation?

Getting there: Metro line 12 and Trams T2 and T3a all serve the area — especially useful if you're coming in for Paris Expo or Dôme de Paris. From Montparnasse, you're six stops away on line 12. Getting around: Line 12 takes you into the centre and the trams handle the lateral moves, which means most of the south-west of Paris is genuinely easy. Nearby: Parc Georges-Brassens is directly across the street. Porte de Versailles is a short walk. Orly Airport is about 45 minutes by Tram T3a from Brancion, via Pont du Garigliano.
